We started Rewild because mobile could do more
Every network had started to feel the same. Tired contracts, service that let people down, and almost nothing being done for nature. We thought a mobile network could be the thing that helps put some of it back.
Rewild was set up by Luke and Anne, two people who felt the same way. One a lifelong lover of British wildlife, the other long committed to nature and the countryside. Between them, one thing kept coming up. The mobile industry had gone stale, and the natural world around us was quietly disappearing.
So we built something different. A simple mobile network that puts a real share of its profits into nature recovery here in Britain. That is where the name comes from. And the dream is bigger still. As we grow, we want enough customers around the world to start funding rewilding in their own countries too, so wherever you are from, you are helping nature recover just by using your phone.
The first sketches
The original drawings from the kitchen table, back when the SIM was just a pencil idea and a name we rather liked.
From sketch to SIM
Those early drawings became the real thing. Matte finish, bold wording, and posted to your door. Every SIM we make is made from recycled materials, and we are always looking at ways to make them more sustainable. It is also why we lead with eSIMs wherever we can, since going physical-free is kinder to nature. Here is a look at ours, and how they come together.
The letters that started it
Before we had a marketing budget, we had a pen. We wrote to businesses by hand, one letter at a time, on recycled bamboo paper and sealed with wax, telling them what we were building and asking them to back it.
The response floored us. Those letters brought in some of our earliest supporters, and they caught the eye of B Corp UK, who featured us during B Corp Month. It is still one of the things we are proudest of.
